In your preparations for 2016, you are probably revisiting your trade show booth and thinking about your show schedule for the year. Design, color, branding, giveaways – all of these are important considerations for your trade show booth, but what about staff? Trade show booth staff etiquette is equally as important as design – if you don’t have good staff, you might as well not attend the trade show. Check out our article written early in 2015: Trade Show Booth Staff Etiquette.

In Case You Missed It: Planning Your Trade Show Exhibit Booth

The success of your trade show exhibit booth is directly related to how well you plan. It is essential to stay organized and maintain a clear goal, and don’t wait until last minute to start planning. Assign someone to plan the schedule and another person to handle the budget. In the budget, you will need to consider costs of travel, rental space, trade show graphics, trade show exhibit design and size, shipping, installation, staffing costs, electricity and printed materials. The budget should be detailed, tailored to your marketing goals, and should maximize your Return on Investment.

The size of your trade show exhibit booth will have a major impact on your budget. For a small company, a 10’ x 10’ trade show exhibit booth is usually sufficient. However, be sure to use your marketing goals to determine the size and layout of your trade show display. ADM Two are experts at creating trade show displays that fit your company’s marketing goals and needs. Just ask us, and we will help you navigate the trade show exhibit design world!

Your trade show exhibit design should take into consideration traffic flow, storage, kiosks, and product displays. The design is also tied to the overall marketing goals and message. In the planning process, make sure your trade show display is not too crowded or cluttered. This will detract from your overall message and may even be hazardous. Safety is important for your visitors and employees, so this is a doubly important aspect of trade show display planning.

Another consideration in trade show exhibit design are the rules and regulations of the exhibition space. Planning your trade show display according to the specific rules of each space is essential – if you don’t, you may find yourself eliminated from the trade show floor. Professional trade show display designers like us have experience with these rules and can help you create a trade show exhibit booth that adheres to the particular standards of your location.

Ultimately, the trade show exhibit booth is a miniature version of your business. It is an opportunity to draw in potential customers, make sales, and generate buzz about your company. Spending the time and money to create a well-planned, well-directed trade display will yield dramatic results.

Corporate Environment Fabrication – Giving Thanks to Alumi-Guard

This week we’d like to feature the corporate environment fabrication we completed for Alumi-Guard’s office earlier in the year. Before our corporate environment fabrication team came in, the Alumi-Guard reception area was lackluster and did not evoke the brand’s vibrant colors and rich history. In addition to being a welcome center, Alumi-Guard wanted this space to serve as their product showroom. We immediately had lots of interesting ideas for this project.

The space is rather small, but we made great use of it. We decided to create a large timeline mural right off the main lobby to showcase Alumi-Guard’s history. This timeline tells the story of the brand with large frosted acrylic panels layered with graphic stand-offs, which added a lot of dimension. A huge photo on custom printed wallpaper adds drama to the background, so this piece really stands out and captures attention.

We included a multi-media center on the opposite wall with monitors featuring video and image presentations, along with company website and internet access. The media wall also includes beautiful color images that highlight various products and technology advances.

Last, we added the product showroom and the large, beautiful logos on the wall facing visitors – that is the first thing they should see before they are dazzled by the history timeline and the media wall. The front desk went from rags to riches when we replaced it with a more modern, sleek version with a rounded facade that is a bit more welcoming in its smoothness. The before and after photos show just how vast an improvement was made with relatively few design choices. Sometimes simple is better, and we relied on our imagery and color for impact in this corporate environment fabrication.

Trade Show Installation and Dismantle

Trade show attendees rarely think about trade show installation and dismantle process, but it looms large in the minds of those who are planning and executing their company’s trade show booth setup, shipping, labor, and more. The process requires a vast amount of organization and attention to detail. Trade show installation and dismantle is as much about brains as it is about brawn.

Check out our blog post and video that beautifully and succinctly allows you to visualize the vast amount of work that goes into the setup of of a trade show booth.

Preparation is key, but experience helps as well. Sometimes, errors are your greatest learning tools, although it’s nice when you can learn from the mistakes of others, as in ExhibitorOnline’s article, “Labor of Love.”

“My personal experiences with I&D have certainly never been flawless, but it’s the outright disasters and near catastrophes that are the most memorable,” says Candy Adams in the opening paragraph of the article.

Candy Adams’ article on ExhibitorOnline.com is a great read for any trade show planner. Ms. Adams goes into detail about the different types of contractors, unions, and other nuances of the industry that only an experienced planner could know. Read more here.

Bowl-a-Thon Charging Station Sponsored by ADM Two

This past Sunday the ADM Two team joined forces at Pin Chasers bowling alley in Tampa for The 8th Annual Jason Ackerman Memorial Bowl-A-Thon. The Jason Ackerman Foundation focuses on improving the lives of youth who face and/or have survived challenging circumstances through educational support and entertaining experiences. We had a blast, all while giving to a good cause. What a great way to spend our Sunday evening.

As part of our participation in the event, we sponsored a charging station, which was packed by the end of the evening. It seems like a charging station is just what the Pin Chasers bowling alley needed in our technology dense world. We will also be sponsoring a charging station at Wine Wednesdays at Westchase, also benefitting The Jason Ackerman Foundation. Stay tuned for more information about Wine Wednesdays, which will start in October.

Hybrid Trade Show Exhibit Design System Choices

It all starts with the trade show exhibit design system. You want to choose a system that showcases your graphics, keeps traffic moving, and meets your marketing goals. There are many different types, and the search for the perfect exhibit design system can be overwhelming. It is helpful to consult with an expert trade show booth manufacturer like ADM Two. We can help you navigate the different styles and recommend something that will meet your goals and wow your potential clients, all within your budget.

One of the most common terms in the world of trade show exhibit design systems is “hybrid.” The term hybrid refers to an exhibit design system that combines the simplicity/ease of a portable/modular system with the tailored feel of a custom exhibit design system.

“Trade show exhibit design systems have come a long way in the last 30 years – you can have so much more control over your design than you did in the past, and still have it be portable and easy to assemble,” says Shannon Bennett of trade show booth manufacturer ADM Two.

There are four main styles of hybrid exhibit design systems. Below you will find information on each one.

1. Sacagawea is the most affordable of the hybrid exhibit design systems. It packs in portable roto-molded case(s) and comes with optional counters, workstations, and headers. With Sacagawea, you can start with a 10′ x 10′ and expand to a 10′ x 20′ as your show schedule grows. All ADM Two Sacagawea Displays include “Knob-assisted Assembly,” numbered components, and reusable die-cut foam packaging.

2. Magellan hybrid exhibit design systems can be as simple or complex as you would like. Magellan designs feature vibrant fabric graphics, captivating shapes, and smart accessories. Every Magellan exhibit design system from ADM Two includes simple “Knob-assisted Assembly” for a quick setup, reusable die-cut foam for care-free packaging, and durable engineered aluminum frames.

3. Perfect 10 hybrid exhibit design systems are extraordinary. There’s nothing else like the Perfect 10 Portable Hybrid Display – they are easily recognizable and totally unforgettable. The Perfect 10 blends large fabric graphics, unmistakable curves, and portable setup into a stunning trade show exhibit. ADM Two Perfect 10 exhibit design systems assemble without tools and can be ordered in seven distinctive frame colors: red, blue, black, yellow, green, white and silver.

4. Visionary Designs exhibit design systems combine vibrant tension fabric graphics, durable aluminum extrusions, and elegant laminates into an unmistakable inline trade show exhibit. You have the freedom of unlimited design possibilities with ADM Two’s line of Visionary Designs Hybrid Displays.
