ADM Two Case Study

Et Cultura Festival Wrap-Up

For the second year in a row, we sponsored Et Cultura Festival in St. Petersburg, FL. This festival is full of interactive sessions, film, music, art and crafts. There was something for everyone! We attended several of the five-day festival’s events, but there was so much going on that we couldn’t possibly see everything. It was a great time, very educational, and lots of fun.

et cultura festival sponsor signage banners trade show

As we walked around, we saw lots of our banners and signage all over the event. These pieces really added color, helped to brand the festival in public spaces, and helped people get around! There are many purposes for signage, especially in the case of Et Cultura, since the footprint of the festival spans much of downtown St. Petersburg and beyond.

et cultura music festival charging station

This year, there were presentations about plant-based nutrition by leading experts in the field, there were gardening showcases and presentations, presentations about elevating education in low income urban areas, affordable housing, and youth development. At one point, they set up a half-pipe and had professional skate boarders and BMX bikers doing tricks. We provided signage and banners to spice up the half pipe. There were concerts at some of the largest venues in St. Pete, including The State Theatre and Jannus Live. Award winning documentary films were screened at Sundial Muvico, and art shows were held at the Morean Center for Clay, the Morean Arts Center, and The Gallery. Needless to say, St. Pete came alive for those five days, and we can’t wait to see what Et Cultura holds in store for us next year.

Case Study: Brain Harmony Portable Display

trade show product kiosk

When it comes to solving portable display needs, people often assume that smaller projects are always easier, but such is not the case. In many cases, as in the case with the Brain Harmony display, we wanted to create something with a big impact, but that could be transported via a personal vehicle and set up by one person.

Making a big impact is actually much easier with a large booth and budget for customization. In that case, we can pull out all the stops, using whatever materials we want and putting together unique pieces and visuals that really allow a brand to stand strong in the trade show. Not only did the display need to be portable, it needed to have easy to change graphics that could be switched out in the field, on the spot.

We decided to use the Xpressions portable multi-graphic panel pop-up system. This portable display allows the graphics to stay attached to the frame for storage, plus the hardware is super lightweight, an essential for a one person setup. If you look at the final display though, it’s quite impactful and beautiful! We used large, exceptional photographs for effect, keeping the supporting graphics and text simple for a tasteful presentation. The photographs were already a part of the Brain Harmony media library, so they were not shot specifically for this project. For that reason, we had to do some manipulation to a few of the photos to maintain consistency in the layout, but the result is a seamless graphic piece that really stands out!

Brain Harmony’s mission is to provide the most powerful and proven therapy to help children and adults with learning and performance difficulties. From sensory processing, attention & regulation, autism spectrum and all types of neurological dysfunction, Brain Harmony is focused on accelerated outcomes, support to the families, access to care and helping our friends to become their greatest selves. They see clients in a clinic setting as well as at home through a unique video coaching program. Further focused on getting more families access to care, Brain Harmony educates and coaches other health care and academic professionals. We truly enjoyed working with them on this project and think the final portable display was a great visual for their mission.

Case Study: Endo-Therapeutics

The Endo-Therapeutics trade show booth is an exercise in trade show simplicity. They needed something portable, easy for the staff to assemble, and with some more depth and texture to properly show off their products, which debut often. The solution we came up with addressed these needs, while also creating a bold impression with large graphics and the brand’s colors.

endo therapeutics simple trade show booth

We used a snap together aluminum frame with pillowcase tension fabric for the main visual and standoff rigid interchangeable graphic panels. This creates some depth and texture. The logo colors are sophisticated yet bright, so they look really great on the large panels, while the podium, table and chairs create a sense of structure in the space. A trade show booth should portray the brand’s personality, and this one certainly demonstrates the innovative character of Endo-Therapeutics.

Endo-Therapeutics’ primary business is contract manufacturing of instruments for endoscopy. At its inception, the company was a manufacturer of reusable medical devices. The company has since grown to become one of the largest domestic producer of single-use disposable biopsy forceps and polypectomy snares. Endo-Therapeutics supports the healthcare industry by supplying millions of endoscopic medical devices each year. Today Endo-Therapeutics sells directly to endoscopy surgery centers in the United States and also distributes products internationally as well.

Case Study: Madico Trade Show Product Kiosk

trade show product kiosk

Every project comes with a challenge, and the challenge in the case of Madico was time, space and budget. We were to design their 2016 SEMA Las Vegas trade show product kiosk with a very quick turnaround time, which is something we are especially good at. They also needed something super portable and simple to assemble with interchangeable graphic areas.

The Madico team took a really smart, forward-thinking approach to this product kiosk. They asked us to design something that would last for years, not just a one and done display for the SEMA Las Vegas show. In essence, this trade show product kiosk needed to have a lot of space for interchangeable graphics, plus we wanted places to showcase company branding as well as product segments. We created an area for photos and a reading rail for additional, easy to read details on the products. We kept the base open for a lighter feel, and alternated the laminate color to add some texture. Despite the amount of information we presented on the panels in the booth, it does not feel cluttered and the information is easy to identify and find. This was something we paid particular attention to in the design process.

The booth has an impressive stance considering how compact and efficiently packed it is. We made sure that there aren’t a lot of extra parts and assembly was simple. As far as the time constraint went, we selected certain materials and finishes that were readily available, but still met the brand guidelines, so we could meet the deadline. This is something we often do – we have a list of materials that allow us to shorten our production time, which is very helpful.

Nancy Trant, the Marketing Coordinator that we worked with on the project, said “ADM2 was able to make our custom displays under budget and on time for our show in Vegas. Shannon and her team were able to quickly work with us on this project even though we were running close on time (certain product details took a while to decide internally so we didn’t approach ADM until those things were worked out). The quality of the displays was outstanding and they looked very nice on the show floor. We received several compliments from our staff and customers at the show.”

Madico is an innovative company specializing in film products, including highly engineered, multilayer films for energy, automotive, safety, security, and architectural applications. Their highly adaptable product portfolios have allowed them to serve a multitude of diverse customers for over 100 years. This innovation and flexibility was something that we conveyed in their versatile trade show product kiosk. We really enjoyed working on this project and look forward to working with Nancy and the Madico team again in the future.

A. Quinn Jones Museum and Cultural Center

The A. Quinn Jones Museum and Cultural Center project was absolutely fascinating, full of local Florida history. We worked closely with MAM Exhibit Design on this project, in which we divided and conquered. We did the heavy lifting of fabrication and installation of exhibits and graphics, and Marry Anna Murphy (MAM) did the design.

The project was to design a museum and cultural center in an vintage bungalow. The museum celebrates the life of A. Quinn Jones (1893 – 1997), an early black educator in Alachua County. Each of the five galleries is specific to a subject dealing with Mr. Jones: Education, Arts and Culture, Church Life, Civil Rights and A. Quinn Jones. The 1,000 square foot museum was researched and completed in just 6 months.

civil rights gallery

The above Civil Rights gallery tells the story of how Alachua County reacted to and eventually embraced the Civil Rights Movement. Newspaper headlines were reproduced for visual impact and quotes were pulled to create points of interest and draw the viewer in. We painted several of the display walls in different colors to complement the graphics, which added pops of color and helped the graphics to really stand out.

arts and culture gallery

The Arts and Culture gallery displays a work from local artist, Jesse Aaron. The work was chosen for the lightly staffed museum because, up high, it’s safe from hands. Because it’s normal for a deer mount to be placed above eye line on a wall, this worked perfectly and lends a rustic and impressive visual effect to the collection.

The A. Quinn Jones gallery displays items from his long life – several plaques were in the museum’s collection. They were displayed, not for each individual accomplishment, but to showcase his lifetime of accolades.

quinn Jones desk

Jones’ desk was set up with a display of items that he might have kept close at hand. Super graphic custom printed wallpaper was installed on one wall. The back wall, covering a set of windows, provides additional display space and a means to fix the vitrine in place.

This was the perfect project to complete last month, just in time for Black History Month. We had the pleasure of learning a lot about a local black historic figure, and we also had the honor of working with MAM Exhibits once again. This was a project to be proud of!

PSCU – The Experience Continues

Recently we finished another project or our client, PSCU. As we discussed in our case study about PSCU, they are always looking to create an experience. Whether it is through giveaways, interactive elements, or just creating a comfortable space for visitors, PSCU does a great job of welcoming and keeping trade show booth visitors.

For their latest booth, PSCU incorporated several interactive elements from previous booths. The brand is showcased in the same sleek, elegant design used for all of their communications and displays, with a slightly different layout and more kiosks for demos and information.

ADM Two Case Study: Et Cultura Festival Wrap-Up

Last week, from November 16-20, the inaugural Et Cultura Festival was held in downtown St. Petersburg, FL. We were fortunate enough to be introduced to the founders of the festival over the summer, so we had the opportunity to sponsor this very first year of events. Along the way, we met some fascinating people and witnessed a myriad of informative and interesting events.

et-cultura-pop-up-display-table

We provided the information table for the entrance to the interactive sessions on Wednesday-Friday. Rather than simply provide a printed tablecloth and fold up chairs, we thought we could modernize the entrance a bit with a tall, sleek white table with the Et Cultura logo and tall, elegant stools for the volunteers to sit on. The venue, Station House St. Pete, is a beautifully designed space, so this table setup fit in perfectly with the modern, yet rustic interior décor.

We also provided vertical banner stands with the Et Cultura logo and schedule of events for outside the Station House during the interactive sessions, as well as at the entrances to the film and music venue sites. Again, these banner stands added a sleek, professional feel to the events, and really helped people find their way around.

Last, we created large banners for over the speakers on the music main stage and in the film screening space. These banners were made of special mesh fabric that allows sound to travel through so it’s not muffled or distorted. The banner above the stage added the final touch.

As usual, we used creative problem solving to find unique solutions to the needs of the festival. From offering a different type of table solution to finding the right fabric for optimal sound quality, we wanted to create a look that truly complemented the idea of the festival itself – creativity, innovation, and excitement. The result of our work, combined with so many other sponsors and volunteers, was a sophisticated, lively five days full of art, music, interactive sessions, film, makers market, and other activities. We certainly enjoyed it!

#ICYMI – Mound House Case Study

As the year draws to a close, we enjoy looking back on the variety of projects we’ve completed this year. We write case studies about each project we complete, so it’s nice to relive the work and the stories behind them. In January, we completed the Mound House project – what made this project interesting was the difficult task of creating level museum cases in an old, very UN-level building. Not to mention that the Mound House is an incredibly fascinating museum dedicated to archaeological discoveries from the Calusa Indian Shell Mound. Check out the case study for more history and photos of some of the artifacts that have been uncovered there and are now on display at the Mound House.

Creating an Experience with PSCU – Client Spotlight Part II

The second project that we worked on for PSCU was their Member Forum innovation expo area. Each year, PSCU hosts the Member Forum to foster growth and education for their clients. corporate environment buildThe 2016 theme was “People. Purpose. Passion,” and it explored new ways for credit unions to engage and grow membership through superior services. Education for talent and leadership development are main focuses of the event, which was held in Nashville, TN. As always, PSCU’s goal is to stand out as an innovative yet accessible partner for credit unions in the United States.

“The ultimate goal of PSCU’s 2016 Member Forum is to equip credit unions with the knowledge and tools needed to continue growing and providing exceptional service to their members,” said Scott Wagner, EVP, Membership Development for PSCU. “The conference is designed to support our cooperative’s values and mission of helping our Owners succeed in this complex and competitive payments landscape through access to valuable, strategic content.”

Each section had its own footprint to distinguish from the others, but the layout encouraged traffic flow.

The challenge in this project was to convey all that PSCU stands for in a cost-effective way that was also quick and easy to set up and dismantle. There were some other obstacles, including narrow, at times crowded hallways and space constraints that we would not normally face at a trade show. Despite these challenges, we wanted to create a display area that was substantial – a true environment in which many activities take place.

The vast windows filled the room with light and served as the perfect backdrop for our comfortable living room style seating.

The vast windows filled the room with light and served as the perfect backdrop for our comfortable living room style seating.

PSCU is a people-oriented organization. We have seen that with the GAC trade show booth, and we see that in the Member Forum. The very theme puts people first, and this is something we needed to convey with the Member Forum environment.

pscu event environment

People first.

We used the same colors and modern white furniture that was used for the GAC trade show booth, to maintain brand consistency and stay on budget. The furniture again created a sense of living space, comfort, and welcome. We created three “pods” in 20×20 square carpeting so that each stood out, while at the same time flowing harmoniously into each other. Different segments of their company and product offerings were positioned in the pods, and the flooring and orientation of the structure created a traffic flow between the pods.

Last, but not least, we customized the vendor tables with each vendors’ logo in order to maintain a consistent, even look across the vendor section. This made finding what you want simple, and the tables were cohesive rather than confusing.

If you haven’t already, check out Part I of our project with PSCU – their trade show booth at GAC. It was such a pleasure to work with them on both the GAC trade show booth and their Member Forum in Nashville. Creating an experience like we did for PSCU is what we do best. Creating an Experience with PSCU – Client Spotlight Part I

Creating an experience is something we believe in wholeheartedly because it is so focused on the client. PSCU does this especially well. We have worked with PSCU several times over the years, so we have a rhythm with them when it’s time to do a trade show booth or environment project. As always, creating an experience for their clients was one of their main goals. The experience they wanted to provide was a fresh, inviting and innovative space to connect in order to foster relationships. We created two pieces for them based on the overall goal – a trade show booth for the Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) and an environment piece for their Member Forum in Nashville, TN.

creating an experience trade show

Creating an experience for PSCU customers started with a large, open design.

PSCU is a leading provider of traditional and online financial services for credit unions. Representing more than 800 credit unions, PSCU offers credit, debit and prepaid card servicing to its customers, as well as online bill payment services. However, the company strives to do more than offer products and services – helping their clients to strengthen member relationships and cultivate revenue growth is a priority. They wanted their trade show booth to impart all of these facets.

The GAC is a pivotal event for PSCU. GAC is where credit unions converge to advocate for themselves and remind lawmakers why credit unions are the best choice for Americans. For this and all events, PSCU wants to be innovative and captivating, and that is just what we accomplished in partnering with them on this trade show booth.

Creating an Experience with Design and Interactivity

We created a 40×50’ booth for the GAC, with several areas for interactivity and connection with trade show staff. The size of the booth reflected the size of the organization – as one of the largest and most well-respected credit union service organizations in the country, PSCU needed to have a presence with impact. We included comfortable living room style seating areas for a more casual, inviting atmosphere, as well as tall bar-style tables for group discussions. A separate area showcased the giveaways – selfie sticks in slick PSCU branded packaging. On the selfie stick boxes was the hashtag #CUSelfie, which encouraged attendees to snap a selfie and share with the hashtag. This automatically entered them into a contest to win an Apple iPad. This created a very engaging and exciting buzz around the PSCU trade show booth (who doesn’t want a free iPad?). Trade show attendees were eager to gather around the PSCU booth and because of this the staff had plenty of opportunity to connect with them and inform them of PSCU’s products and services.

Another very cool innovation aspect of the booth (which attendees LOVED), was an interactive vertical screen. When a people asked questions, the responses actually came from a live actress who was listening to the attendees in order to give personalized responses. It was a great way to be innovative and fun while at the same time showing that PSCU cares and is listening. Needless to say, the PSCU trade show booth was abuzz with activity throughout the day because of their brilliant interactivities.

pacs trade show experience

The PSCU experience included this interactive vertical screen.

The overall design of the trade show booth was very open and inviting. Much of the furniture and the electronics were white, which imparted a clean, modern, tech-savvy feel, while the green from the PSCU logo evoked harmony, growth, and safety, and is also the color most associated with finance. An accent of blue evoked trust, loyalty, wisdom, and confidence, all traits that we want to see in an institution that handles our money. Overall the look is very bright, modern, and friendly, and bespeaks PSCU’s innovative, client-centered approach to all they do.

“We want our booth to be about the member experience (i.e, our credit union members), and ADM delivers. They do a great job designing and executing the production of an ‘experience-centered’ display that actually engages our members and gets them involved in activities and discussions with our team members,” said Byron Loper, PSCU’s program manager for conferences and events. “We value partners that are flexible, creative, and willing to go the extra mile to provide us the best possible product for our members and the industry.”
